Liz’s Legacy

Celebrating Liz Durante’s life, legacy, and memory by supporting the organizations she served (below) and reviewing her writing and work.

This page was created to have one central place with all of the organizations that Liz supported, so that when we think of her, we’re reminded of some ways that we can carry on her work.

“‘I love the connection with other human beings that medicine offers. No matter where they grew up, how old they are, how rich or poor, a patient is a patient. They are human beings with human feelings and, more importantly, human needs,’ she wrote.”
